Book Review
Stories for 7 Year olds by Enid Blyton is a lovely collection of 13 short tales filled with magic, friendship, and adventure. Published by Hodder Children’s Books in 2024, this book is specially made for seven-year-olds, with easy language and fun plots.
Each story stands on its own and is full of charm. One of my favourites was about a pixie (a small fairy) who ran out of pink paint while painting flowers and got unexpected help from a human. Another funny tale was The Moon Falling Out of the Sky, where a hedgehog thought a chestnut was the moon! I also enjoyed Good Old Jock and When the Toys Walked Home, which reminded me of the Toy Story movies—they had many similarities.
These stories spark curiosity and wonder, making them perfect for bedtime or classroom reading. They help children build reading confidence while also encouraging imagination and problem-solving.
Alongside the fun, the tales gently teach values like kindness, honesty, and the importance of friendship through the characters’ experiences. The language is simple, and the stories move quickly, making them exciting but never too hard to follow.
