Book Review
“I Am Wriggly,” written by Michael Rosen and illustrated by Robert Starling, is a delightful picture book that captures the exuberant energy of young children. The story follows a playful bunny that’s always in motion—wriggling, kicking, and tapping out rhythms with endless enthusiasm. Rosen’s rhyming text is lively and perfect for read-aloud sessions, especially for preschoolers who will love the rhythm and repetition.
Starling’s bold and colorful illustrations complement the text beautifully, making the bunny’s uncontainable energy leap off the page. With its engaging rhymes and vibrant visuals, this book is perfect for keeping young readers entertained and is sure to bring plenty of giggles during story time.
What I don’t like about this book?
If you are expecting any message or any substance in the book then you will be disappointed it is basically nonsensical, humorous, simple, and relatable, with children who will easily identifying with the “wriggly” nature of the protagonist.
